My first memories of the Lake:  When I was in first grade, I attended my first event at Lake Sallateeska.  I came with my father to a Lad & Dad Weekend.  It was such a wonderful experience to spend time at the Lake with my Dad.  Fishing, hiking, singing camp worship songs, all are part of my early childhood memories of the Lake.  I was very happy to return to Lake Sallateeska every time RA camp rolled around.  It was during a RA week camp when I was called to serve as a missionary.  Both (my wife), Stephanie and I have taken the opportunity to work in several different countries.  Our mission work in other countries served as God's preparation for us before bringing us back to ministry at Lake Sallateeska.

I too like fire: Moses (in Exodus chapter 3) was a man attracted to a flame that did not go out.  (just imagine 5 gal of gas on a dry Christmas tree) God used this pyrotechnic display to change the direction of Moses' life and in turn the direction of the entire nation of Israel.  Lake Sallateeska was the location of my life changing call.  Through my service around the world in missions, God has opened my eyes to an over ripe harvest field.  The harvest is short on workers!!!  God has sent Stephanie, Jackson, and I back to work in Illinois to spread the Good News.  God wants to use our family and Lake Sallateeska to bring others to faith in Jesus Christ, and to work in the harvest fields.  First changing the hearts of individuals, second changing the direction of our state, and third impacting every inch of our planet with the good news of Jesus Christ.   It is my prayer that Lake Sallateeska can be the Holy Ground that God uses to reach into the lives of all who enter its gates.

The end of the Story: After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!"    Revelation 7:9-10

Office Administrator

Stephanie Hall

Stephanie is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and a native of Southern Illinois. She loves the Lord and is blessed to live and serve at Lake Sallateeska. Stephanie also grew up attending Lake Sallateeska as a young girl and youth. Stephanie is a great help to staff and visitors at the camp. Her jobs are overseeing the "mini-managers" as they go about their daily tasks and making sure things are taken care of in the camp office and kitchen.

Mini-Managers

Jackson & Alistair Hall

Hi, we are Jackson and Alistair and we "run" this place. You may think we are just "small fries". However, we can run circles around most people twice our size. If you want to know what is going on at the camp, how we do things here, or just general information about the camp and its surroundings just ask me, Jackson. I specialize in squeezing into places that dad can't fit. I'm also chairman of the camp welcoming committee. For "broom" guitar and vocals and general cuteness factor then look for me, Alistair. My usual camp attire is cowboy boots and a cowboy hat. Soon we will have a new mini-manager here at Lake Sallateeska, but we don't look for any real work being done by this newcomer for a long time, except making everyone want to hold him.  He is due March 23.
